These Terms of Sale govern the purchase of ApocOS hardware and preloaded units (“Units”) from FlatCoder Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 07323564) (“FlatCoder”, “we”, “us”). They are separate from the software terms: your use of the ApocOS software is governed by the End-User Licence Agreement and the ApocOS Proprietary Software Licence.

FlatCoder Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 07323564), registered office 24 South Avenue, Manchester M19 2WS. You can reach us through the FlatCoder website or the eBay listing you bought from.
2. What we sell
An ApocOS Unit is a ready-to-run offline computer or bootable USB device, preloaded with the UK Data Pack — offline maps, reference knowledge and a local AI model. The software aboard is proprietary and licensed, not sold (see the EULA). Third-party open-source software, open data and language models bundled on the Unit keep their own licences — see the third-party notices.
3. How to order
Units are sold through our eBay store. Your order, the contract of sale, payment and buyer protection are handled by eBay under eBay’s terms and the eBay Money Back Guarantee, in addition to these terms. A contract of sale is formed when eBay confirms your order.
4. Price and payment
Prices are shown on the eBay listing in GBP. FlatCoder is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Payment is taken through eBay’s checkout; we do not process or store your card details.
5. Delivery
We ship to the United Kingdom. Estimated dispatch and delivery times are shown on the listing. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; ownership of the hardware passes once we have received full payment.
6. Your Unit and its software
The Unit is preloaded and ready to run. Your right to use the software is granted by the EULA, which you accept when you first use the Unit (it is also shown on-screen at first boot). The Unit’s protection features — device binding and optional encryption — are described in the EULA and the on-device manual.
7. Your legal rights
If you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights that cannot be excluded: goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Your cancellation and faulty-goods rights are set out in Returns & Refunds.
8. Safety and no reliance
ApocOS is an information and preparedness aid. It is not a substitute for professional emergency, medical, navigation or safety services, and its offline data may be out of date. Do not rely on it as your sole source in a life-safety situation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions taken in reliance on the Unit. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Warranty
Appliances (pre-installed units) carry a 6-month warranty; USB-stick units carry a 3-month warranty, against manufacturing defects, running from delivery. Any warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights — which for faulty goods can last longer (see Returns & Refunds).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
