This policy explains your rights to cancel, return and get a refund when you buy an ApocOS Unit. It sits alongside your statutory rights and eBay’s buyer protection — it does not reduce them.
Buying through eBay
Units are sold through our eBay store, so eBay’s returns process and the eBay Money Back Guarantee apply. The quickest way to return an item or raise a problem is through your eBay order.
14-day right to change your mind
As a consumer buying at a distance, you have 14 days from receiving your Unit to cancel for any reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), and then a further 14 days to send it back.
- To cancel, tell us through eBay or the FlatCoder website.
- Return the Unit complete and in re-saleable condition. You may inspect it as you would in a shop; a Unit handled beyond that may have its refund reduced.
- Software note: the Unit is preloaded, ready-to-run software and data. Booting or using it is normal handling and does not remove your rights over a faulty Unit. For a change-of-mind return, please don’t store personal data or credentials on it — you are responsible for removing anything you added (there is a reset in Settings), and we re-image every returned Unit before resale.
- You pay the return postage for a change-of-mind return. (We cover it for faulty items — see below.)
- We refund within 14 days of receiving the Unit back (or your proof of return), to your original payment method.
Faulty or misdescribed Units
If a Unit is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies:
- Within 30 days you can reject it for a full refund.
- After 30 days (up to six months) we will repair or replace it; if that isn’t possible or fails, you’re entitled to a refund.
- We cover return postage for faulty items. Appliances also carry a 6-month warranty and USB-stick units a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects — in addition to your statutory rights.
What isn’t covered
Damage from misuse, accident or unauthorised modification; ordinary wear; and data you added and did not back up. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
