FlatCoder Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data handled through this website and the sale of ApocOS Units. This policy explains what we collect and your rights under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The short version
- This website is a static site. It sets no tracking or advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics.
- Your ApocOS Unit is offline-first: no telemetry, no account, no hidden uploads. Anything you do on the device stays on the device — we cannot see it.
- We only handle personal data to fulfil your order and answer your enquiries.
What we collect and why
- Orders (via eBay). When you buy a Unit, eBay provides the name, delivery address and order details we need to dispatch it and meet our obligations. eBay operates the sale and has its own privacy notice. Legal basis: performance of the sale contract.
- Support enquiries. If you contact us, we keep your message and contact details to respond and keep a record. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in supporting customers.
- We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising or profiling.
Sharing
We share personal data only with the parties needed to complete your order — for example eBay (the sales platform) and our delivery carrier — and where we are legally required to. We do not transfer your data outside the UK/EEA except as those services require, under appropriate safeguards.
Retention
We keep order and support records only as long as needed for the sale, warranty, returns and our legal and accounting obligations — typically up to six years for order and tax records — then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, or object to processing. Contact us through the FlatCoder website. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
